Get Facebook Messenger for Windows Now

Some of you might have read a report back in November about Facebook working on a version of Messenger for Windows. The app itself is still in a private BETA, but the folks over at The Windows Club found a public link with which you can download and try it out.

If you have Windows 7 (not compatible with Vista/XP), you can download the app (Direct Link) and set it up on your PC. It’s behaviour is pretty similar to that of the website’s chat bar, but it’s definitely handy if you use Facebook chat often.

The app can be maximised to the side of the right screen (like you see on Facebook’s website and the screenshot above) while it can also work within a window like any normal program. This is the fourth version of Facebook Messenger after iPhone, Android and Blackberry.
